Three Signs You Have a Bee Problem

Are bees constantly buzzing around while you’re in your garden? Are your children too nervous to go play in your backyard because of the number of bees flying around? If you answered yes to these questions, you might have a bee problem. Bees can be a dangerous issue, so it is important to know the signs of a bee problem around your home. Here are three signs that you have a bee problem.

1.  Increasing Bee Activity- One of the most obvious signs of a bee problem is an increase in bee activity around your home. Start paying attention to the number of bees in and outside of your home, so you will notice when the amount of bee activity increases.

2.  Dark Spots on Your Walls- Another sign of a bee problem is if you have dark spots on your walls or ceiling. This means you most likely have a honeybee infestation. Those dark spots are nests built by honeybees. They fill the cells of your wall with honey and the honey eventually seeps through. The honey can destroy your walls and ceilings and attract other animals to your home, therefore causing more damage.

3.  Hives- Another obvious sign of a bee problem are beehives. An active hive will have lots of bee activity, but if you see a hive that looks like it has been abandoned, don’t disturb it. It is best to leave all beehive removals to a professional, so you can avoid any dangerous interaction with bees.
